Advanced telecommunications research and development is the core of the EU-INSIT strategy. The range of the research centres that make up EU-INSIT varies from core telecommunications technologies such as wireless, signal and image processing to cutting-edge applications of those technologies such as m-internet, e-commerce, wearable computing, telemedicine and enhanced distance learning.
All the research centres available under EU-INSIT are working closely with academia and industry through different programmes. The researchers are working together to apply the technologies developed, deploy and enhance the applications in different areas of activity.
