1st Executive Workshop in Innovative Technologies-
Reshaping the mobile business,
22nd-23rd June 2007, Mamaia beach, Romania
The Executive Workshop in Innovative Technologies provides a forum for the open-minded exchange of information, reflection upon, and assessment of new developments in information technology. This discussion is aimed at providing all attendees with a thorough understanding of the impact of these developments and the facts necessary to determine the appropriate action – be it adoption, competition, or maintaining a watching brief.
The continued convergence of broadband wireless systems and mobile cellular networks has put pressure on wireless businesses to migrate from proprietary infrastructure and architectures to open platform solutions to allow them to meet the rapidly increasing demand for open wireless services. This transition has created tremendous opportunities for suppliers of high-performance wireless circuits, systems and networks resulting in cost-effective solutions for ubiquitous wireless communication from computation, sensing and signal processing to consumer electronics and multimedia.
This reshaping of mobile business provides the subject for the first executive workshop in innovative technologies. Leading industry executives will join forces for this one day event and they aim to:
• Introduce attendees to the overall framework of the mobile internet;
• Outline the major industry players and the focus of their work;
• Attempt to predict the likely disruptive business models;
